"Beauty shouldn't be defined by algorithms. Our goal is to raise awareness about the impact of AI and social media on self-image and authenticity. Every 'like' contributes to shaping the ideals we’re shown online — so think before you like."

Human or AI ?
Perfect smiles. Dreamy views. Flawless skin. Influencers set the standard — but what if they’re not human at all?AI-generated influencers are taking over social media feeds. Can you tell who’s real?
#ThinkBeforeYouLike

New Face... Still You?
Everyone’s doing it. Smooth skin, perfect glow, flawless selfies. It’s just a filter — or is it more than that? When fake becomes the standard, real starts to feel wrong. Why do we all edit the same way? Who are we really trying to look like?
#ThinkBeforeYouLike

Teenagers increasingly use AI apps to 'enhance' their selfies before posting — sometimes without realizing how far the image has strayed from reality.
COMMON SENSE MEDIA (2022)
On platforms like Instagram and TikTok, 'normal' faces get filtered, reshaped or replaced — often by AI. The result? Authenticity feels less 'worthy'.
ROYAL SOCIETY FOR PUBLIC HEALTH UK (2021)

Living for the Likes?
Look at me. Perfect place. Perfect moment. Perfect life. But is that the whole story?Social media rewards highlights — not honesty. When everyone shares only their best version, where does that leave the rest of who we are?

Branding Ourselves?
On LinkedIn and beyond, looks matter. More and more people retouch their profile pictures to look sharper, younger, more confident. But when we edit ourselves for success... are we showing who we are — or selling who we want to be?

About the project
ThinkBeforeYouLike.com is an independent initiative started by a small group of concerned secondary school teachers. Every day, we saw how students — especially teenagers — compared themselves to unrealistic online images. We created this project to raise awareness about the influence of AI, filters and social media on how we see beauty — and ourselves.
We don't blame the wonderful technology that artificial intelligence is. We just want to start a conversation about awareness. We’re doing this with zero commercial interest. We pay for the tools and hosting ourselves, and we don’t promote products. If you want to help us keep the project alive, you can support us with a cup of coffee. ;-)Thank you for pausing. For thinking. And for caring!
Every person on this website is fake. But our mission is real! Support us with a cup of coffee, and help us spread awareness!
